How to Unlock your Vehicle

You can replace the Volvo key fob batteries yourself by following a couple of steps. Choose a clean surface to work on. Make a list of all the tools you will need. Find the battery's hatch, and turn it open using the flathead, a coin, or other similar tool. Next, carefully pry the battery from its socket by lifting it up on the side closest to the key-ring loop. Be sure to wear rubber gloves to protect the contacts or the clips.
After the battery has been removed, insert the new battery into its socket. Make sure that the positive side is facing up and that it is securely seated within all clips. Slide the cover towards the key-ring area until it becomes loose, and falls off. Remove the cover to reveal the hidden key blade. It can be used to unlock your car from the driver's side If the battery for your key fob is dead or missing.
How to Start Your Vehicle
